Sean Penn wouldn't mind putting you in jail for free speech. And Al Gore doesn't mind calling you a criminal for asking valid questions. Are they friends? Do they hang out?
It's no one's fault but Gore's that he built his house on sand. Enjoy the rising tide, sir.
Inhofe is basically responding to the accusations from AGW alarmists who have called his request to investigate ClimateGate - a valid request since the EPA's budget requests for this year are based on faulty science - "McCarthyism".
Why do liberals hate truth? You would think they would be overjoyed to learn the planet is not being destroyed, we're not facing our imminent doom (at least not because of AGW), and there's no reason to feel guilty when flipping on a light switch or exhaling. In what world is that bad news?
And even if their thirst for self-righteousness won't allow them to embrace the evidence, why would they refuse an investigation so that the truth can come to light? If we humans, the reason this planet exists and the only creation who will actually work to preserve it (trust me, Polar Bears will not pick up after themselves), are the cause of an entire planet self-destructing (and boy do we have some ego issues if we believe that), an investigation will bring all of it to light.
Or if Al Gore's wrong (when has the man ever been right?), an investigation would confirm that, too. And there lies the liberals' reason for fighting it tooth and nail. I hope all their extra energy isn't increasing their heart rate and causing them to breathe deeper and exhale longer. Seems anti-productive.
