the Coffee Party: misery loves company

They are not the opposite of the Tea Party. They are the alternative. That's their statement. Really grabs you, doesn't it?

As you'll see in the video, they aren't really sure why they are there. They start voting on their priority issues, listing things like "crop subsidies" and the "National Transportation Strategy", whatever that is. Once the priorities were listed, they took a vote to see who would be willing to stand in public holding a sign of support. They were all madly in love with that idea.

Or maybe everything just needs to stay "generic", as one guy with poor posture preferred.

Lee Doren put the film together, as well as found out how most of these "alternative" individuals are Obama supporters. But he makes a valid point, they all look depressed. How is that possible when their savior was elected to office and the fringe of their party control both houses? What does it take to make liberals happy? Don't try to answer that. It's rhetorical.

Geez, just watching this video makes me depressed. Imagine attending a meeting. They seem like the human form of wet noodles, limp green beans, soaked bread and any other wimpy food analogy you can think of. Where's the passion? Where's the hope? Where's that heat in the gut of their belly driving them forward? Confirming they are right? Assuring to their very marrow that what they fight for is truth? Where's the conviction? Or do they all just need a big hug and a perpetual mommy?

Gosh. Can't we all just hold hands and light up?
