A little off topic here, but anyone else notice the number of good-looking conservatives? Or is that just me?
I'm posting this video because...well, he's cute, he's got a fun name....but the real reason is his point on the Census and counting illegal aliens.
Including them for the distribution of Congressional representation is viewed as only fair. Oh those poor illegals, just trying to make a better life for themselves and their children. They should be represented, too. They live here, too. Feel the tears welling at the compassion.
Not quite.
First off, why couldn't they come legally? Hmm? Is there some kind of violent history that would withhold their access? These are questions answered during the legal immigrant procedures.
Second, how is this "fair" to immigrants - not to mention naturally-born citizens - who are legally here?
We pay to be here. Call it an admission price. Call it what is really is, taxes. But we don't simply sit around raking in easy money and living our life off the grid. We pay for roads and schools and defense and, in this administration, bribes to Obama's campaign donors.
If you want to be here, you need to become a part of the community, learn the language, pay your taxes, be a joiner. Support the nation which is offering you all these amazing opportunities for your family.
Otherwise, you are selfish. And you know where to find the door.

Though I'm not so sure about the intelligence part. Not accepting illegal immigration as some kind of altruistic made-for-TV movie and instead accepting it as what it is - breaking the law - is basic common sense.
Amnesty lovers apparently don't have much sense, common or otherwise.
