Hasan the victim? Uh...wasn't he the guy with the gun shooting people in the back?

That's the meme the media is pushing. Make the killer the victim, the victim the aggressor, and make sure to include a comment or two about the evil of Christianity.

Here's the latest from ABC.

Hard on Muslims? I tell you what's hard, when Muslim clerics and the Muslim communities spur on and deify men and women who blow themselves up in civilian areas, capture Americans and slice off their heads, oh, and walk into a room with two handguns and mow people down.

That's tough. Getting teased? Getting questioned? Are you serious?

Here's the hardcore truth. The Islamic religion is wrong. Sorry, but it is. It's a false religion. It glorifies hate, female slavery, abuse, and poor self-value.
Millions of Muslims worldwide promote honor killings, where parents murder their own children, the enslavement of women, often punished with acid thrown into their face, and the public hanging of homosexuals. You think waterboarding is atrocious? Male and female prisoners in Muslim countries are gang raped repeatedly.

This religion, a misnomer for a cult, harbors and glorifies acts of terrorism, promoted and glorified by their worldwide religious leaders.

There are people, misguided people, inside the religion who do not agree with Islamic extremism. And the most compassionate thing we could do for them is highlight the atrocities of their religion, show them the truth of a compassionate and just Savior, and pray God pulls them out.

Instead, we'll keep ignoring the truth. So far, that action has crumbled two downtown buildings in New York, killed thousands, terrorized nations, and continues enslaving millions of their believers. Yet we keep doing it, feeling gloriously self-righteous about our tolerance.

If I can find it, I'll post an article I wrote about two years ago after an interview with a Muslim cleric who became a Christian. Now he works tirelessly to share that truth with his countrymen, to bring them real hope and a God who is loving, peaceful, and within grasp.
How was he reached? Well...that's an interesting story. Let's just say he had planned to murder two missionaries, and instead, they saved his life.
Truth gave him self-worth, freedom to live and not only die, a love uniquely for him alone. Do we really want men and women to live with bondage? You should see his face when he speaks of Jesus. Can you light someone from within? Why would we not want that for them all?

For the record, acts of violence against Muslims have decreased rapidly since 2001. In fact, religious hate crimes are higher against Christians and Jews. There's your dose of truth.

Loved the phrase, "feeling gloriously self-righteous about our tolerance." So true in our country. Hope you find the article soon!
