"I believe if James were writing his epistle today, he would go beyond clothing [the poor]. He would demand that we take care of the sick and the shut-in as part of expressing our faith. Most religious groups see it that way."
South Carolina Rep. James Clyburn
the House Whip, leader of the Democratic Faith Working Group, and 13th Apostle,
talking about ObamaCare
PS No, I think James would empower the Roman Soldiers to knock on every door pillaging homes in the name of taxes. God wants you to give to your government, forced if necessary. That's always been God's way - to force people. I mean, refuse to worship God and lightning strikes you dead. In this month alone, the death tole from instantaneous metamorphosis into a pillar of salt has skyrocketed.
God doesn't want your free and independent will giving to charities. He doesn't want you to be good stewards of your finances, to know where it goes, what it funds, and if it's being used to truly help the needy.
Nah. He's not really into financial responsibility. He'd rather politicians have it. And, as politicians always do, spend it wisely on groups like ACORN and propping up the SEIU, to fund art even when it's sacrilegious, to be twittered away in waste. And for all of it, He wants everyone to receive poor health coverage, to be denied help, to die sooner like in other countries with socialized medicine.
That's sounds like God.
