Keep talking Joe

Joe Wilson was furious. He sat there, listening, listening, listening, to nothing but a President use a podium of power to shut out the voices of American taxpayers, call out private citizens - from radio personalities (Rush), cable news pundits (Beck), to previously prominent politicians (Sarah) - as liars, and repeat, yet again, the verbatim nonsense and spin speech rebuked all summer across this country.
He didn't want to hear the lies. And so he spoke up. He called it out.

And now liberals want him destroyed.

So here's what I did. I gave him money. I donated to his 2010 campaign. Here is the email I received today from RedState.com:

The Democrat opponent to Congressman Joe Wilson has raised over $100,000.00 since last night. What have you given to Joe Wilson.
The man spoke for America. And now we need to open our wallets for Joe.

It does no good to pat Joe on the back or give him an "atta boy." Joe Wilson needs us to open our wallets and checkbooks. Joe Wilson is now a serious threat to Barack Obama because he dared point out that the Emperor has no clothes. The left will target him. The left will target his family. The left will try to destroy Joe Wilson.

We can stop the left. But we must give generously to Joe.

Prove that conservatives are not pathetic activists. Put your money where your mouth is.

Give to Joe.
Yeah, I know. I don't have money either. Literally, I'm working feverishly to finish paying my taxes from last year before an October extension deadline.
Isn't that ironic? Or sickening. I'm working to pay Obama's salary while he's working to take more of mine away.

They should make Rep. Charles Rangel pay his taxes first. Then I'll humbly follow. That should buy me some time.

Nonetheless, today I contributed. I prayed about it first. You're darn right I did. And this was my thought: How can I not wholly and unselfishly support anyone standing up for truth?

That is my battle. I fight against it constantly here. I attack lies in my own life, ones I hold about myself, about others, about any aspect of reality I've willfully accepted. God will always, without hesitation, show us truth if we honestly want it. And he knows when we do or don't, no matter what we say or how we behave. You do not hide yourself from God. Even if you desperately want to.

Truth isn't a thing. It's a He. Jesus said he is truth, he's the way, and he's the light. When spoken, even if shouted down and shot daggers by Pelosi, truth has power. Unlike a lie, which must be repeated often and frequently and without correction to wield any authority, truth must only be whispered once.

Last night, Rep. Joe Wilson shouted it. And this was my way of shouting back.
