People are angry. You got that right.
But being angry does not make a person irrelevant or their issue inconsequential or villainous. It means they are passionate. Find out about what, Congressmen. Stop shoving talking points down their throats and answer their questions. You want to cool the crowd, try some of that blessed transparency Obama promised.
Instead, Obama, the community agitator, has called in the union thugs. SEIU, a labor union, are responding to Obama's request to attend these Town Hall meetings. And he's telling Congress and his minions to push back twice as hard.
It's so encouraging to see The Great Unifer at work.
I'll have Obama quotes in the "Quote Them" sections for today. But for now, let's hear our Congress, elected representatives, polarizing their own constituents before willfully ignoring them.
In Michigan:
50 years in office? I wouldn't worry about 51.
In Florida:
Bring in the thugs to close the doors (happens around 3:21). That's what thugs do, push people around, tear people's clothing, and shove them out of public forums where they have a right to attend, to speak, and to be heard.
Awww....Hopenchange America. It's like living on Candy Mountain.
A freelance videographer was roughed up in an altercation, which damaged his camera equipment and glasses, and at least one man was treated for minor injuries after a scuffle left his shirt partially torn from his body.
In Houston:

You can't listen to your doctor. I mean, yes, listen to your doctor. But only about eating your veggies and taking your medication, you know...life saving stuff. This? No, you can't listen to them about what does and doesn't work in their own industry. Like they know. You need to listen to community organizers and politicians.Physicians jammed a town hall meeting in The Woodlands on Thursday, expressing fears about the cost and effectiveness of a health care reform bill that could come up for a vote in Congress as early as September.
U.S. Rep. Kevin Brady, R-The Woodlands, hosted the meeting attended by about 90 physicians at Memorial Hermann Hospital-The Woodlands.
“The bottom line is that doctors don't want socialized medicine — another flawed health care system like Medicare. They don't believe it will lower the costs or improve quality,” Brady said. “Medicare is already going bankrupt and not quality care. It also shifts medical costs onto other paying customers. It needs to be fixed first.”
In Colorado:

A supporter of health care reform, left, who did not want to give her name, pushes forward to rip a sign out of Kris McLay's hands outside the Stout Street Clintic visited by Nancy Pelosi. (THE DENVER POST | RJ SANGOSTI)
She didn't want to give her name because 1) she was ashamed of her actions and her wardrobe, 2) it was Jane Fonda.
When one person in the crowd shouted, "Health care can't wait," a rival responded, "We have health care now." A woman walked among the demonstrators singing "God Bless America" in a warbling voice. And Pelosi, the Queen of Contradiction, had this to say:
"This is called the legislative process..There are differences of opinions. This is the democratic process. . . . This is a very big initiative, to change health care in America...The plan for August is to have a discussion, to listen carefully to what people are saying."
Or shut them out of meetings and call them Nazis. Just Democracy at work.
