Health care may have been the last sounding alarm that awakened the sleeping giant.
Constituents should apply heavy deodorant when going back home because their local constituents will make sure they sweat. Townhall meetings across the US are turning into platforms where American's rage over government control is now at a boil.
It's going to be one hot August.
Sorry Congressmen. You brought this on yourself. It's time to listen and earn that stellar government health care package you receive, the one you aren't willing to give up for ObamaCare.
Let's start off our mad journey in Wisconsin with Democrat Rep. Steve Kagan:
Ohio’s Democrat Steve Dreihaus was welcomed home with shouts of dissent. He ran as a conservative blue-dog to win. Then went to DC and voted for Cap and Trade, the Stimulus, and is now supporting ObamaCare. What's that saying lefties love? Oh yeah, something about roosting chickens.
Philadelphia residents greeted Democrat Arlen Specter and Health Care Secretary Kathleen Sebelius with boos as Specter laments about needing to make decisions fast and Sebelius lectures the crowd like only an elitist snob can.
Democrat Keith Ellison of Minnesota plays emcee during a townhall meeting, deciding to hold the microphone and move around the room while refusing to answer any questions. His constituents questions and comments are largely negative so he simply ignores them. That's beautiful government efficiency for you.
Texas in the Blue Dog district of Democrat Rep. Lloyd Doggett want him to "Just Say No." I'm guessing that's what they'll be saying when he comes up for reelection.
My favorite sign is the "No Govt Counselor in my Home." If you are unfamiliar with that part of ObamaCare, that's when a government employee comes to your home and tells you to take one for the team, meaning "die", but don't be sad about it.
Democrat Tim Bishop isn't hugged and kissed in Setauket, New York. "No one is talking about the government taking over health care," said Bishop. His constituents answer with a roar of dissent. This was June 22. You think they are happier now? Sorry Timmy. Don't expect a lot of Christmas Cards this year.
If you feel alone in your frustration with the out-of-control gestapo government that is taking over every aspect of our lives, and now wants our very L-I-F-E, know you are not alone. These people are furious, too. We should get together, or something, and I don't know...vote.
That's what I'm thinking.
