General Practitioner really general

She isn't a doctor. And she hasn't been practicing for four years. So what? All this isn't real, anyway. It's all a staged play. Obama is the director, producer, and leading man. And we but nameless, faceless extras.
Whatever he and his supporters need to do, so be it. The show must go on.

Setting: town hall meeting with Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee.

Enter stage right: Roxana Mayer, Obama delegate who will be playing the role of a general practitioner.

But I can’t find any evidence that she’s a doctor. Instead, I find evidence of a Roxana Mayer who appears to be a graduate student studying social work at the University of Houston, where Jackson Lee’s husband is a vice president for student affairs.

She later told the Houston Chronicle she was a pediatric primary care physician. And they bought it because it matched the script. No need for research. This is part of the plot.


Of course, when bloggers did the journalism research for them, the Houston Chronicle then had to tweak their photo cutline. Oopsy.
